Our home came with one of these installed. Basically the entire new home was Kohler-equipped. So I have had ample opportunity to use and maintain Kohler products over the last 15 years (may have had them before this in other houses but do not recall). The build quality is quite good even though the stuff is made in China. We live in an area with very hard water but have a whole house softener. Still, minerals build up over time. For the most part, our Kohler stuff has held up. And in cases where they have not Kohler support has been great and sent many replacement parts. After those 15 years, however, our kitchen faucet just started to refuse to swing side to side. Kohler sent parts and video on how to fix this. However, the faucet simply would not come apart enough to permit the installation of the parts. I could not like with the faucet as it was so I broke down and bought another here - same model number, slightly different looks and finish, but same fit and assembly for the most part. Meanwhile, Kohler is sending me a whole NEW faucet since the old one would not come apart to permit servicing. Now that is customer service! Not sure what I will do with it once it arrives (slow due to COVID supply chain issues). But Kohler once again has earned my brand loyalty. You can get cheaper. But will it be better? This is the third Kohler sink faucet with pull out that I have bought for the kitchen. The first came with the house and lasted four years. Single stem faucets are usually easily repaired - typical leak is the washers or "O" rings as they are called in single stems. The Kohler pullout is hard to work with. It is easier to buy another. I did, and the replacment lasted 8 years. Same leak pattern. Same problem to take off the pull out hose and get the chromed housing off to get at the works. It is easier to take the fixture entirely off. The old ones had hard copper piping - you should know that all plumbing fixtures are rather crude inside. It was hard to put on and take off the old fixtures through the granite countertop. Repair of a non pullout Moen is simple - usually two O ring washers. So I recently decided to replace the second Kohler with a new, third Kohler as the Amazon price was great. Product came fast. Excellent packaging. Now Kohler uses braided soft connectors, so I had to replumb the house piping in the cabinet. Not a big deal. The soft braid connectors are VERY soft and thin. Careful when you tighten the Kohler pressure fittings as the Kohler hose will NOT spin free. It is a two hand job to make sure the fitting is tight - you must deliberately spin the hose with your fingers in the opposite direction as you tighten the actual fitting/connector. It can and will kink very easily. You can get much firmer free spinning metal braided inlet piping/tubing at Home Depot. Installing is not a big deal, but the new Kohler barrell nut and washer (which holds the fixture firm) did not fit the granite hole. I reused the old Kohler set - worked fine. Be very careful about your granite cuts with this one. Next, I found the water pressure from both hot and cold was slightly reduced by the fixture. Out of curoisity, I rechecked the hard plumbing - full force. There was no kink in either the hot or cold Kohler soft braided incoming. The fixture has an inherent throttle due to the soft piping diameter which probably cuts down on the washer wear over time. The Kohler has a nice look and it is known as a top brand, but under the exterior they are all the same copper and brass. When this one wears out, the limited lifetime warranty will get me a new interior selector which will be tough to get at without taking the unit off. I will never use one of these extractible nozzles again. No reason for it. I do not like sprayers on kitchen granite, nor soap devices, nor hot water spiggots nor filter spiggots. I could get an antique, rechrome it, and have a solid piece or just buy a regular moen or off brand. Don't use the kitchen sink to wash kids, dogs or yard clippers - you don't need a pull out sprayer. I also have Kohler bath vanity faucets in one of the baths that began to show erosion after three years. Others, routinely used, are fine. Haven't bothered to replace the eroded set as the room is seldom used, but I will not replace it with Kohler when there are so many choices. I gave two stars for excellent Amazon price, soft braided plumbing connectors (an imporvement), and style/look on black granite. If it lasts 5 years I am even. Please remember that all electic works in your house are essentially primitive and fragile, wall sockets, switches, etc., and so is the plumbing. It is not rocket science. Do not play with installing this yourself unless you have plumbing experience and the array of tools needed to be under a sink full of piping and a disposal with electic wire right in your face. Know what you are doing before you try to put this in. Repeat, know what you are doing before you put this in because you will have water and electic in the same confined space. Turn everything off before you start (electic and water pressure) and use some l.e.d lanterns for light - or get a plumber to install for you. Install job took me an hour, replumbing the house line a bit and then installing the Kohler. Took another 30 minutes to recheck the water pressure issue for each incoming house line by disconnecting unit, then pressure testing the incoming house pipe, making certain there was no kink of any kind in the Kohler connections and then reattaching with great care. Same result, same pressure drop on hot and cold side. Not a big drop, but a slight drop. I am not a Green, so I like pressure. No leaks on top or under cabinet after 24 hours. Looks very good all alone on black granite. Last note: pull-outs cannot use those wonderful filters from PUR on the end of the nozzle. Don't get a pull out. I was replacing a pull out, but it is not a benefit if you don't have one already. To be honest, it is just another connection. Get a strong simple faucet then put the Kohler on when you sell the house. I'm thinking about it. Best regards to amazon patrons.*****Several months later, I'm back. The low flow water is driving me nuts. No leaks, water temp lever works fine. I may change it out in a few months. This Kohler kitchen faucet has a solid feel and nice control of the water temperature and spay. The unit was easy to install. The service lines were a bit short. Extensions had to be used.I chose this faucet because it had the same dimensions, although a different shape, as the one it replaced, it is attractive, and so far after a year, works fine, except for two things. The main complaint is that in only a few months, the rubber O-ring at the end of the sprayer handle on the hose connector that fits inside the holder . starts sticking. I would periodically put a little vegetable oil on the O-ring, but that didn't fix it for long, and in a year or so the rubber O-ring swelled and stretched so that it was getting completely stuck and I had to remove it. Kohler graciously attempted to send me a replacement O-ring, even a couple extra, but while they were the right diameter, they were about half the thickness of the original, and didn't work. I called again and someone else looked it up and sent me thicker ones, but they were much too small of a diameter, in fact I think it is the O-ring for inside the swivel part at the end of the hose that the sprayer screws into. I cannot find the proper part listed in any supply catalog, and Kohler doesn't seem to be able to find it, which is ridiculous. I might just use one of the thinner O-rings that doesn't really cinch the sprayer securely--it allows a little bit of wobble, but at least it it won't cause it to stick. The other issue, which is less of a problem for me, is that the faucet has low flow from the center aerator, and nothing can be removed to fix that--it is not a problem with my water pressure or plumbing. However when using the spray function, the flow is much greater, and as I prefer to use that anyway, except when I occasionally need to fill something using the center stream, I don't notice the low flow issue as much as someone might who mostly uses the center stream with the aerator. The design and quality of the unit is outstanding. The instructions and layout are great. Everything is very well organized for the person who likes to do home install. A point to consider, however, is this. I replaced a previously installed Kohler unit with this one because of how much I like the Kohler quality. But, this new unit had shorter cold and hot water hoses than the previous model. I don't know what prompted Kohler engineers to shorten the hoses. In my case, what that meant was that I was barely....and I mean just barely able to make the hoses on the new unit reach the wall valve. If the hoses were even 1/4" shorter, I would have been in real trouble. Extension hoses are not available. I would have had to move the shutoff valve, and that would be a major effort.J’ai utilisé ce produit pour remplacer un modèle similaire qui était devenu défectueux après 16 ans.Installation simple et rapide. Aucune fuite suite à l’installation. Très bonne qualité! Corps en laiton. Le mode douche est puissant tandis que le mode régulier laisse couler l’eau à débit économisant l’eau ce qui est très bien. Le recommande fortement! Noter que les tuyaux d’apport d’eau froide et chaude font 16 pouces de longueur environ .Bought a replacement for my previous Kohler kitchen faucet which lasted about 10 years. The price was very reasonable given local retail prices, and the quality of Kohler.Install was very easy as the faucet came with all lines and equipment needed. Instructions were very straightforward and only basic hand tools are required. Was a replacement for a different tap, similar to what was there. Husband installed.Aún no lo instalamos (tenemos que remodelar primero) pero todo llegó en orden, completo y súper rápido.Buena compra en relación al precio/marca. Al principio pensamos que monomando estaba descompuesto pero verificamos que sí se mueve de lado a lado.Kohler=calidad.Amazing
