We've had this Victorian Faucet in our kitchen for over ten years and it has performed flawlessly. It is an eye catcher and the top of the line in Delta Faucets. If you have any basic plumbing experience, it is easy to install as long as you carefully follow the instructions.Make sure you have all the necessary tools and items on hand before installation.I buy teflon tape in multi-packs.Pack a little plumbers putty under the sprayer before mounting it on the sink. The knob on the back of the sprayer will pop off. It holds the sprayer spring in place. If it is not in place out of the box, insert the spring and pop the knob onto the sprayer.A 93-year-old parent wanted a faucet like ours in her kitchen sink. It was installed in January 2015. She was so excited that she tied a colorful bow around the faucet. This is a good idea for anyone who has used a single-handle faucet for years. It serves as a reminder not to jerk the faucet up and down trying to get water until they have acclimated to the twin handles.According to the instructions, the hot and cold valve/handle assemblies should be marked. However, the labels had come off in our latest installation. If this happens, make believe that the hot air you blow is water. Blow into the short black plastic hose while intermittently blocking the supply line with your thumb. Turn the handle on and off until you ascertain the proper flow and mounting direction for the handles. They should be pointing outward.Unless you are experienced or have 3 hands, you might need to get someone to help you with this trick. Our house was built in the sixties with a variety of plumbing fixtures, none Delta. Because of the longevity, quality, ease of repair, simple installation and complete and clear diagrams diagrams on the Internet, every faucet in our house is now Delta. If you keep a supply of seats, springs and O-rings and learn the simple replacement technique, you should be set free from much of the enormous cost of calling a plumber. Many professional plumbers charge $250.00 for faucet installation, $130.00 to replace supply lines and $100.00 to replace seats and springs. The hardest part of any job is getting started. If you learn it, you'll earn it.Money for plumbing jobs seems much happier when it stays in my own pocket.I researched this fixture long and hard before I purchased. I originally purchased a faucet from Danzi, very similar to this. It was a heavy brass/oil rubbed bronze fixture and lasted 16 years. I would not have replaced it other than the sprayer developed a leak. It was discontinued. This fixture is a very close match other than the sprayer. You may see in the reviews that many are dissatisfied with the sprayer being plastic, instead of brass. I agree that for the price Delta should upgrade the sprayer for a complete quality fixture. However, I knew when I purchased that would be the case. The uninstall of the old faucet set was more difficult than installing the new Delta product according to my husband! I am so happy I researched the items and that I chose this particular one, thereby having continuity in my home for my fixtures. It is worth your time to READ ALL THE REVIEWS on each item you select online and make your decision wisely.I loved this faucet. It was really beautiful and was perfect for my 100+ year old house. Sadly, my granite countertop was just a tiny bit too narrow to fit (it was the backsplash clearance that was too short). In addition, the piece that juts backward hit right at my windowsill, which would have needed heavy modification. It made me so sad to send it back, but I will say that the return process was so simple and Delta was great to work with. The quality of this item was very impressive and I would definitely buy another of their products...We were remodeling a kitchen and liked this faucet. Design is nice and are overall pleased with the fixture. Three things to keep in mind — during a remodel you can expect delays, I as the purchaser am not a plumber, Amazon’s return policy is only 30 days. At 45 days my plumber looks at the faucet and noticed the main part of the fixture is bent and twisted. He also noticed wrench marks on the nuts. This was sold as new...it was not. Amazon replaced it as a one time courtesy, but had me on edge considering the cost and near loss. I also talked to the manufacturer Delta and they were not surprised of the unexplained bend. They said they have had issues with faucets sold by Amazon. They also noted that some of the third party sellers have been known to take components from returned items to build a complete set. Both faucets — the original and the replacement appeared to be thrown in a box with protective wrappings removed. The waterlines were also unwrapped and did not fit properly in their egg carton shaped areas. The second one seemed ok overall with no bends and a wrench marks. Delta did register the lifetime warranty and said if I have further issues I can work with them in the future. However for the initial complaint they did advise to work with Amazon. Unfortunately, this issue cost me a one time replacement after their 30 days. 30 days is not long enough when remodeling, as that may be one of the last items installed.Bought this as an Amazon "second life" product, and was rather nervous. It was cosmetically perfect, and all parts were present, sealed, and unused. The faucet is heavy, installed easily, and all moving parts (handles, faucet, and sprayer) move/swivel smoothly. The hose is not stiff and is refreshingly long. The seller (LiveLaughTravel) was also a pleasure to work with. Answered all of my questions and concerns regarding the product (damaged box).
